CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Built for children, managed by adults
Kinalumi gives children a simple family experience without asking them to create an email account or an advertising profile.
Last updated 26 August 2026An authorised adult creates a household and decides whether to create a child profile. The adult controls how that child accesses Kinalumi, what information is visible and which features are available.
What a child profile can contain
Children do not need an email address to use Kinalumi. A child profile may include a name or nickname, avatar or photo, family-member colour, optional date of birth, assigned calendar events, tasks, chores, points, rewards, achievements and household announcements. Families may optionally add a chore completion photo or other family media.
How children access Kinalumi
Children can use Kid Mode on a parent-managed device, a child-safe login arranged by an adult, or a PIN-protected profile switcher on a shared household device. Household Owners and Parent Administrators control access and can end a shared-device session.
What adults control
- Who can view or edit the child profile.
- Which events and announcements the child can see.
- Tasks, chores, points, reward approvals and notifications.
- Whether proof photos, attachments or optional features are used.
- Export, correction and deletion of the child’s information.
No child advertising profiles
Kinalumi does not sell a child’s personal information, use child profiles for personalised advertising or attach private household content to product analytics. Optional analytics are controlled by an adult and use approved operational event names rather than family schedules, messages or photos.
Sensitive family choices
Optional Daily Reflection tradition selections may reveal religious or philosophical preferences, and optional dietary or allergen fields may reveal health-related needs. These settings are family-controlled, are not used for advertising and are not necessary for a child to use the core organiser.
Photos, school information and documents
Adults decide whether to upload child photos, chore proof, school notices or artwork. Private media is stored with household access controls. School calendar import is an adult-led workflow: an adult uploads a PDF or image, reviews the extracted event suggestions and chooses what to add to the family calendar.
Parent and guardian rights
Authorised adults can review, correct, export or delete a managed child profile using Kinalumi’s privacy controls. If you believe a child profile was created without appropriate authority, contact privacy@kinalumi.com. We verify the request before disclosing or changing household information.
Questions or concerns
Read the full Privacy Policy and Security overview, or email privacy@kinalumi.com. Do not email identity documents or unnecessary information about a child unless Kinalumi explains why it is required through a verified support process.
