TERMS OF SERVICE

Fair terms for a shared family space

These terms explain the responsibilities that keep Kinalumi secure, useful and respectful for every household member.

Last updated 26 August 2026
Pre-launch website

Kinalumi is currently in development. Website descriptions, planned features, trials and pricing can change before store release. No paid subscription is offered through this website. The formal contracting entity, business address and governing-law details will be shown before public accounts or paid subscriptions open.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an adult Kinalumi account or using a test version of the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. Adults who create child profiles confirm they have authority to manage those profiles and authorise the child’s use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Accounts and households

You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials and household PINs secure, and notify Kinalumi of suspected unauthorised access. Household Owners and Parent Administrators are responsible for invitations, member roles, child access and the content their household shares. Do not share an invitation outside its intended recipient.

3. Test and preview access

Development, Preview, beta and TestFlight builds may be incomplete, may contain defects and may change or reset test data. They must not be relied on for emergencies, legal deadlines, medical information or the only copy of important family records. Feedback may be used to improve Kinalumi, but it should not include confidential or unnecessary child information.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Kinalumi to break the law, harm or exploit a child, harass others, upload malicious or unlawful material, bypass permissions, probe security controls without written authorisation, interfere with the service, or access another household without authority. Kinalumi may restrict access reasonably necessary to protect people or the service.

5. Family content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Kinalumi a limited licence to host, process, display and transmit it only as needed to provide the features you choose. You are responsible for having permission to upload photos, documents and information about other people. AI-assisted school calendar extraction creates suggestions for adult review and does not replace checking the original school notice.

6. Subscriptions and trials

Free and Premium feature limits will be shown in the app. Prices, billing periods and trial eligibility are presented by the Apple App Store or Google Play before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled through the relevant store. Store rules govern billing, refunds, grace periods and payment disputes. Restoring a purchase does not create a new charge. Essential account management, export and deletion are not paywalled.

7. Rewards, health and family decisions

Chore points and rewards are household tools, not currency, gambling or games of chance. Parents control approvals and redemptions. Dietary, allergen, reflection and family schedule features are organisational aids only and are not medical, religious, legal or professional advice. Adults remain responsible for family decisions and checking important information.

8. Changes and availability

Kinalumi may update features, limits or these terms to improve the service, address security or legal requirements, or support commercial operation. Material changes will be communicated where required. Planned maintenance, network failure or third-party outages can affect availability; Kinalumi does not promise uninterrupted service.

9. Safety and third-party services

Kinalumi is an organisation tool, not an emergency, medical, child-safety or location-monitoring service. Contact local emergency services for immediate help. Calendar providers, app stores, email providers and other third-party services have their own terms, privacy practices and availability.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Kinalumi and delete your account at any time. Kinalumi may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated misuse, security risk, non-payment of Premium services or legal necessity, using proportionate notice where practicable. Rights that must survive termination, including ownership, payment and legal protections, continue.

11. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Kinalumi is not responsible for indirect losses or decisions made from user-entered or machine-extracted information. Any limitation applies only to the maximum extent allowed by the consumer law that protects you.

12. Law and disputes

Mandatory consumer and privacy rights in your country continue to apply. The production terms will identify the contracting entity, governing law and dispute forum before paid public launch. Until then, concerns should first be sent to Kinalumi so they can be reviewed and, where possible, resolved informally.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@kinalumi.com. Privacy requests should be sent to privacy@kinalumi.com.
